What was the Inspiration for Creating The Brand
Throughout my life, I have been inspired by various successful business ventures that have made a positive impact on the world by addressing global issues. Their innovative solutions have always fascinated me, and I have always wanted to create my own philanthropic venture to contribute to this objective.
Living with allergies, especially eczema on my skin, has always been a struggle for me. I've realized that the materials I wear have a direct impact on my skin and overall mental health. Therefore, I have always been drawn to searching for the most comfortable clothing to alleviate my issues.
During a trip to Mexico in 2021, I discovered a bamboo shirt that immediately caught my attention. It was soft, smooth, breathable, and didn't irritate my skin like other garments often did. From there, a mission to create bamboo clothing was born.
My Journey Around the World to Create This Brand
Our journey to create bamboo clothing began with a quest to find the highest quality bamboo fibers. We traveled extensively across the globe, starting with a visit to a bamboo factory in Mexico in 2021, where we discovered only raw bamboo unsuitable for clothing production.
Upon returning to Canada, we were surprised by the lack of awareness and availability of bamboo clothing in the market. It wasn't until we traveled to Europe in the summer of 2022 and attended a festival that we finally found high-quality bamboo shirts. This experience made us realize that bamboo clothing is still a relatively new concept and can be challenging to find and procure.
In early 2023, we continued our journey to Thailand, where we engaged with industry professionals at a fashion mall, only to find that many had never heard of bamboo clothing. We then traveled to India, where we discovered bamboo clothing but not exactly what we were seeking. We were advised to venture to Nepal, where we finally found our manufacturer with high-quality bamboo fabrics and aligned ethical values. This ultimately led to the creation of our bamboo clothing brand, Berneez.
Berneez has been founded from a dream to find a solution to my personal challenges and environmental issues. Our adventure has been a challenging but rewarding experience. Through our work, we hope to show anything possible and inspire others to follow their dreams and make positive changes in the world.

Personally, mushrooms have become the ultimate symbol of self-reflection and self-love for me, and represent my journey of evolution and self-growth. Mushrooms have been used medicinally since ancient times, and their therapeutic properties continue to be valued today.
The most prominent wisdom the mushroom has taught me is.
